Explore & Discover Diriyah

Historic Diriyah

About 300 years ago, the First Saudi State (the predecessor to modern-day Saudi Arabia) was initially established in al Diriyah, the hometown of the Royal Family. Today, historic Diriyah is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visitors may stroll through its halls, explore historic buildings, and visit museums.

Al Bujairi

The al Bujairi Heritage Park and Courtyard are adjacent to Historical Diriyah. Al Bujairi is surrounded by luxuriant native palm trees, prevailing greenery, and beautiful scenery. Alongside being a great place for walking and souvenir shopping, al Bujairi is known for its lineup of world-renowned restaurants and cafes.

JAX Arts District

JAX District is the epicenter of art and creative expression in Saudi Arabia. The area regularly attracts local and international art galleries, creative agencies, and the media. JAX District is also home to the Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art (SAMOCA), which hosts annual events that attract a global audience.

Wadi Hanifa (Hanifa Valley)

Whether you’re craving a picnic, barbecue, or a walk in nature, this beautiful valley is the place to visit. Not only does Wadi Hanifa offer breathtaking sites, but it's also home to waterways, green corridors, and natural walking paths.

Events & Entertainment in Diriyah

Diriyah Season

Diriyah Season takes place each year from December to March. This town-wide festival is a celebration of culture, history, and art. During the Season, Diriyah is split into seven zones, and each zone is dedicated towards a specific theme or activity. This includes live music/concerts, museums, historical exploring, and more. The annual Samri Art Festival is also held during Diriyah Season.

Minzal

Minzal is where heritage and nature meet. This annual festival is held in the midst of nature, and visitors may engage in activities like horseback riding, stargazing, fine dining, and shopping. Moreover, Minzal regularly hosts concerts by Saudi and Gulf singers, live theatrical performances, and art shows. There are plenty of areas to sit back and relax, including private locations with luxury amenities.
